Karen describes the meeting room as her natural habitat and is passionate about working collaboratively to support group action. Offering over 20 years of years of experience and education in the non profit, government and private sectors, she founded Round Table Solutions in 2007 to help groups get what they want.
Her experience has shown her that despite the best intentions groups can end up in conflict and she is committed to applying her skills, experience and education to supporting groups reach their goals as harmoniously as possible. Clients have often commended her for her clear thinking and analytical skills; her sense of humour and ability to ‘read between the lines’ allows her to thrive in demanding situations with poise.
Karen’s education includes completion of the ICA Professional Facilitator's Program, advanced levels of Non-Violent Communication training, Waldorf Administration Certification and a BA in psychology and sociology from UVic. She was raised in the Yukon and continues a life-long love of the outdoors from her home in rural Glenora, BC
